Liquid Radio 6850 AM 0101 UTC 23 Oct 2024
« on: October 23, 2024, 0105 UTC »
Just signed on around the top of the hour. SINPO 34233 / S7 on an SDR in Texas. There seems to be a plague of local buzzy electrical noise afflicting all the SDRs in the area of Texas tonight.

0107 - "This is Liquid Radio".  The Jesus and Mary Chain, I think? (I should know this one but...)
0109 - Tori Amos
0116 - Hum, "Stars".
0122 - Harvey Danger, "Flagpole Sitta".
0125 - The Primitives, "Crash".
0129 - Butthole Surfers, "Pepper".

0139 - I have to go. Good night.

Fair via the Northern Utah SDR ...

0109 UTC: "Cornflake Girl" by Tori Amos (one of her best).
0112 UTC: QRM mixing with the music. Somebody's interfering with this signal or trying to use an adjacent frequency.
0114 UTC: Liquid Radio ID, then "Stars" by Hum. (I think. That's what Shazam's telling me, but lots of noise on this frequency right now.)
0135 UTC: Tuned back in via the Crowley, Texas, SDR with a bit less noise and a more solid signal, but it's still fading in and out at times; "In the Meantime" by Spacehog's playing now.
0140 UTC: Liquid Radio ID, then "Live Forever" by Oasis.
0145 UTC: Liquid Radio ID with "lumpy pillows" soundbite then "What's My Age Again?" by blink-182.
0147 UTC: ID, then "Doll Parts" by Hole.
0151 UTC: Sound clips, including "93.7 The Edge" promos, into Liquid Radio ID.
0156 UTC: "Sour Times" by Portishead (also a great song!).
0202 UTC: Liquid Radio ID into "Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter.

Some great musical choices tonight. Thanks, Liquid Radio!
