I've just heard about this, today!   https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/name/george-hopp-obituary?id=53330173     Somewhere, I still have a XERK show on cassette kicking around. I also have a couple shows, recorded off-air, of WOLF-FM in the mid-1990's. He was quite the character over the phone, and even QSO'ed with him on CB skip in 1992. Oh yeah!!! He's also the one who got me using the MiniDisc format, which revolutionized my production and on-air quality. Wow... He'll be missed.

UPDATE: Boomer, linked me to what's existing of Wild Steve's site.    https://www.wolffm.com/?page_id=13

“I am often asked how radio works. Well, you see, wire telegraphy
is like a very long cat. You yank his tail in New York and he
meows in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? Now, radio is
exactly the same, except that there is no cat.”
-Attributed to Albert Einstein, but I ripped it from the latest Splatter .PDF March 2025 issue.
