Strapping S9+15 signal here in the Boston burbs at 0125 UTC. "Everybody Knows". Great audio, minor fading. ID by Red Hat at 0128 UTC.. live show. Red Hat ponders problems with his transmitter -- it sounds fine to me. No drop-outs.

Song by 311, then Announcer at 0141 with talk, shoutouts, ID and email{you hit the nail right on the head about the religious and other broadcasts! Thanks for the personable straight to the listener chat...it's appreciated!} Into a song I do not know the name of. {Fades are deep, but at peak great AM signal here}
0152 Playing a cover of Hotel California I have not heard before.
0156 Announcer with ID's of songs, ID, talk about QSL's into cover of "Paint It Black"
0207 Cover of "Bad Company" into long talk...previous songs, "here under the stars" ID, QSL 100%(no paper!)..."Red Hat"...shout outs, talk about the old days and hearing a song again and listening to the lyrics, snow, old days when I used to ride a motorcycle...rundown of previous songs played into "Sweet Dreams(are made of these)-Marilyn Manson
{Signal strength greatly improved around 0205 and fades now above the noise floor!} 0021 cover of "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town"
0127 Cover of "Imagine" by frontman for Tool
Couple of songs into ID and chat by Red Hat with "Green Onions"-Booker T in the background, couple more shoutouts, recap of songs into a "12" single about 9 minutes long, time check at 0143
{Thanks for the show directed at the listening audience Mr. Red Hat! Nice change of pace on the song selection. Time for Skipmuck to hit the sack...wake up time at 0815 UTC comes too soon! Hope to hear you again....}

Big signal here, S9 + 10.  A couple sudden short fades to S7, not sure if propagation or transmitter adjustment.
Amazing audio when not in one of the fades.

0205z - "Bad Company" by Five Finger Death Punch.  Peaks to S9+20
0318z - "Shout" by Disturbed.  Still S9 + 10!
Into "Working in the Coal Mine" by Devo @ 0320

Thanks for the great covers RH.

S-9 plus into Idaho this evening, beautifull AM, not hearing any dropping of sigs, audio is clear with nice mid range.  Sigs fairly steady, with only a hint of qsb.

X-FM Shortwave, 1-31-14, 0139-0337*, 6.925 AM, around my S3 noise floor at 0139.  An even weaker carrier now at 0147, but still in there, can barely detect a note of music now and then.  Can hear a little music at 0157 if i go to usb mode.  Hearing announcer talk at 0226.  Signal picking up now.  Up to S8.  Hearing "Boys of Summer" at 0313.  Then, "Shout."  See attached MP3 of ID at 0315.  Announcer "back-selling" music at 0323.  Heard "25 minutes after 3 UTC" time check.  Occasionally hitting S9 now at 0330.  Saying goodnite to listeners and ending with Johnny Cash.  Deep fades S3 to S9 at 0337.  ID, then off at 0337.

Fired up the SDR to listen to X-FM and discovered one of my BOGs must be disconnected out back at the feedpoint.  Too much cold, snow and darkness to fix right now, so X-FM only S5-S6 here tonight on the single BOG.  Would surely be a better signal report if I were combining the two wires.  Nice to hear Redhat and X-FM again!
