Sitting in the back yard, dialing around for the first time in a couple of years, caught WBCQ relay of Hobart Radio International with a mention of recently deceased Alfred of Netherland's pirate station Alfa Lima, ending show with approx. 5 minute air check from an Alfa Lima show.

5110 AM (WBCQ's usual odd AM/USB only)

SINPO: 44344
Audio a bit tubby and thick, not easy to copy Hobart announcer's voice despite good signal.  Not sure if WBCQ issue or HRI issue - I've heard Hobart before a few years ago and audio seemed easier to copy.

Thanks, Rob, it was probably just the signal that night.  Might have been a combination of factors: fading was very peaky/fluttery; I was using the Palstar's built in speaker, which is a bit bassy; and I was outdoors.  On headphones it probably would have been fine.  I remember listening to your shows a few years ago, including relays on sideband by some US pirates, and the audio seemed fine.

We've been around since 2004. We first got on air via Jolly Roger Radio. It's great to be on WRMI and WBCQ into USA weekly. Yeah the US pirates relayed a few our our shows back then. Glad you remember us Lex! PS Have you requested a QSL card?
