« on: April 27, 2019, 1839 UTC »
on 6225.0
1834 political speech by W, with applauses, UK, 1839
1845 M speaking, about Europe and Brexit referendum, 1847 QRM: stanag

on 6210.0
1915 M speaking, sounds like a repeat
2022 still well heard here, but with hum from another station on the channel (on 6209.8a)
2030 same results on Twente SDR, with some slight fades at times
no ID, but Brexit Radio is a good name
2141 going on, seems to be a short programme in a loop

This is a speech by Nigel Farage leader of the "Brexit" Party formerly leader of UKIP, so much for steering away from politics via free radio, lol.... mind you in the 1970s there were political pirate stations too

I remember and QSLd Radio Enoch

Actually, I was thinking of Radio Enoch...

It seems this signal is from the Rep of Ireland, not the UK, due to the skip zone area, power probably 250 to 300 watt under current conditions.

Not received here.

There aren't too many 250-300 watt transmitters on HF in Ireland and I can account for most, if not all, of them.
Possibly is Irish but as usual, I'm a bit too close to hear it. I will check later on if it's still on but I see nothing on the Twente sdr.

Laser off air on 6205 so I'm guessing this is their transmitter.

I thought that too, Brian, but I'm not 100% sure about that, it could just be a coincidence... also, currently at 2110 UTC the signal is receiveable in Norwich, Norfolk, and I know that skip distances on 48 meters at this time are around 750 km, so, this would put the possible TX site on the very edge of the West Coast of Ireland, anywhere from the South West to Donegal... also I think they are using a fair amount of power, as other pirate stations, including the silent carrier of Coast FM on 6230 khz are not as strong around Europe as 6210 khz....

... maybe it is a special setup, as the West Coast of Ireland is ideal for daytime coverage of the UK, even with skip zones of  300 km during the daytime, you would cover England, Wales and Scotland from the West coast of Ireland.... clever thinking

2136 UTC I'm hearing an OM giving a speech directly here now on 6210 AM....fading in and out but still a bit early here for 48 meters
2145 UTC Fading up more and more to audiblity now
2152 UTC Almost copyable now....OM is getting very excited!
2200 UTC A YL speaking now
2212 UTC Seemed to fade out although the carrier is still there.
If anybody hears any kind of email address, it would be greatly appreciated if they would post it! I suspect this is not to be the case though...  ;)

Transmitter antenna polarisation will affect the way the signal is received. Unless the antennae are the same, then the received signals, even from close tx sites, may differ.

Reasonable signal into England. This is audio of the Brexit party launch in Nottingham with Q&A. Comparing this to radio Enoch is a bit silly. Enoch was extreme right wing. Different times. The brexit party just want democracy to be obeyed and the referendum result to be delivered. Having Nigel Farage on the radio is hardly strange, he does a daily show on UK legal national FM, DAB and online station LBC. So does MP Jacob Rees Mogg, whose sister is standing for the Brexit party!
The British people are quite rightly fed up with the current crop of MPs who have lied to the people

Very true!  Also I generally find SDR Twente not to be a very good remote receiver for free radio, to be honest, but some of the kiwiSDRs around Europe and the UK are good, and can sometimes have a choice of multiple RX antennas, which show a great difference depending on angle and polarisation of TX signal, just like you mention

As you can read in our post We didn't compare Nigel Farage to Enoch Powell.... regarding whether Brexit is right wing and supported by right wingers is another question, but this is not a political forum and therefore we have neither expressed opinions pro or anti-Brexit, but have correctly summised that it is a political unlicensed broadcast, and that this happened in the 1970s, amongst others with Radio Enoch.

As this is not a political forum, it would be appreciated not to make political comments either for or against Brexit or any other "xit" if it is not relevant to pirate radio.  Thank you

Antenna polarization generally gets scrambled when it bounces off the F-Layer
