WBOG 6950AM +0025 - 0118*
« on: March 14, 2012, 0041 UTC »
14Mar12

First noted weak station here, and it seems to be AM.  S8 carrier, but modulation is low here.
Occas hearing music, poss partial ID at 0038 "This is Radio...".  Occas pesc QRM.
Yeah, sig really picked up at 0043
This seems to be a tribute show to Jay Smilkstein
Very intense animated SS QSO after 0107
Off 0118; ID sounded like WBOG here in a mess of QRM

Thanks for the show!

This is a discussion on modulation, transformers etc but the modulation is low with a BIG signal here in Central Florida. Discussing his uncle owning a Cadillac etc

Super Power Tetrodes etc so this sounds like an interview perhaps live or taped.
The rf is pretty darn strong at 0050 UTC.
Modulation needs work - very Bassy etc but still copyable with careful listening.

Pretty nice signal here now.  Started with AM with low modulation playing some music ( I heard 'Stairway to Heaven' by Led Zep and 'Winds of Change' by Jefferson Starship.
Then some pescadore qrm fading into the conversation.  Some discussion about realistic radios and morphing on to various other topics.
Appears to be two separate stations talking to each other.

Upon further listening, I think it may be a recording of a telephone conversation.  Lots of qrm from various sources and the band is getting very long tonight.

Unidentified, 3-14-12, 0047-0122, 6.950AM and/or USB and/or LSB, what a mess here.  seemed to be 3 transmissions going at one time.  couple of guys talking on off-freq. recorded sideband being played back in AM mode, faint music in the background and then a couple of other guys occasionally talking in LSB.  Heard someone say "You are tuned to...." and a mention of "Florida" at 0051.  If that isn't enough, all stations are weak and under the static here.  Heard musical tones being played repetitiously at 0117.  All seems to be gone now at 0122 except a couple of guys talking in usb on 6.949.83.

I heard an AM signal come on with music at 2330Z but it was extremely weak here and all I could tell was that there was a signal there.

I had to leave at 2340Z so I didn't get much chance to listen.
