Solar Activity
« on: October 25, 2013, 1214 UTC »
Solar activity has certainly increased the last few days. We've had an X1 flare, and several M class flares. The SSN is 148 and the solar flux is 153.

I've got some UK CB on 27781. Looks like another good weekend for 10/11 meter activity.

There are some CMEs in route, so we could get geomagnetic storms this weekend, which would adversely affect reception on the lower bands. The K index is presently 0, but that could quickly change.
