I am hearing this on the west coast of Canada also. Quite weak here but good enough to make out the music being played.

I don't think it is "Play" Current, I think it is Radio Plate Current.  About S8 in the Mojave Desert of California.

Radio Plate Current, 1-8-14, 0521-0605*, 6.925L, sigs just above S2 static level....hearing song "i fought the law and the law won."  sounds like tom petty with american girl at 0528.  heard a shout-out to red mercury and some bob dylan.  sigs now improving up to S5 on peaks.  thanks for the shout-out to me at 0537!  put me down for one of those qsl's u were talking about...thanks.....now hearing roy orbison's pretty woman.  to answer your question....one last check of the bands before going zzzzz...now hearing "back on the chain gang" by the pretenders, also moody blues, "green grass and high tides."  off at 0605 w/qsl info.
