WNRP 1620 Pensacola, FL now heard over Cuba at night?
« on: September 18, 2020, 1833 UTC »
For at least the last week and a half now, I've heard 1620 WNRP in there at night, battling it out with Cuba. I've even heard their EAS tone-out for Hurricane Sally. So, has this station either changed power, or radiation patterns, at night? The only other time that I've heard this station is at sunrise.       https://radio-locator.com/info/WNRP-AM
Over the years I have to admit coming up with some no-so good ideas for products. The Skipping Cassette Decks, (In case you missed record skipping.), never took. Water Resistant Lollipops never caught on either, even though you could enjoy those in the rain and in the shower. Then, there's the Anatomically Correct Mrs. Butterworth Syrup Dispenser. (Just guess where the syrup came out of.) Nope, no takers.

Hearing them in Michigan this morning.  In and out with a SS station (probably Cuba).
Talking about storm recovery, maybe they are running full power at night during the emergency.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up, a new one for my logbook.
