I don't know what to make of this!
« on: December 09, 2024, 1501 UTC »
I am in Wales UK. On two mornings in the last four days I have heard short transmissions which sound like one part of a two way conversation in what sounds like Russian. The frequency is 145.775NFM.
It is not sporadic E or any similar propagation event. The transmissions are sporadic and I have heard about four in all each lasting a few seconds as if I'm hearing one half of a two way conversation.
The frequency is a repeater output frequency but the signal is not coming from any local repeater.
I have noticed on each of the two occasions that I am within the radio footprint of the ISS.
Is this coincidence?  Has anyone else heard this? Signal is about S3 then fades and is received on several receivers simultaneously .Any ideas?
