http://www.gbppr.net/lpfm/Low_Power_Radio_Broadcasting.pdf    Don't know why link is listed as LPFM, it's more LPAM, and then some. This dude knew his stuff, so download this, while ya can. Lots of good INFO on "How-to's!" in here.
“I am often asked how radio works. Well, you see, wire telegraphy
is like a very long cat. You yank his tail in New York and he
meows in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? Now, radio is
exactly the same, except that there is no cat.”
-Attributed to Albert Einstein, but I ripped it from the latest Splatter .PDF March 2025 issue.

Interesting stuff. I haven't seen this one before. Lots to read and digest. I have only done a brief look-through, but will read more later. Thanks Dood!

Yes he did know his stuff in fact I was using his entire AM collage radio 10 watt system for about 5 years before I sold the transmitter. I did not sell the AM tuner and just a few days ago with the help of the Dood and Boomer i was able to get the tuner hooked to a fox 20 watt transmitter.

No power out of the tuner but the signal goes out via ground wires. Did a few test this weekend with full power the range was close to 6 miles.
Great stuff.
We need another card to shut out the draught HW ABT URS?

Well, the book that I really want to get-out and scan .PDF, page, by page, is the 1979 version of Ernest Wilson's - Carrier-Current Broadcasting : The Wired, Wireless. That's how I modeled my AM Carrier-Current Stations after. Ernie, really knew his stuff as well. I wish that Kinkos was still around, since they were great for project like that. We'll see...

Save yourself the hassle of scanning it, heres a pdf

Also soon the internet Archive will have uploaded some 1940s IBS Technical Data Books available which details how to setup a carrier current system like the did it at colleges back then

Edit
I knew I had that book but couldnt remember where it came from. . His book in pdf linked above originates from https://steampoweredradio.com/manuals.html which has a wide selection of others

Thank you tybee!!!! Good find. Never found it on-line in the past. Good to know that it's out there now. Being 1979, everything radio-wise is still useful today, at the transmitter and Couplers end. Everything else, can have the 21 century touch. Hopefully, Steam Powered Radio will stay up there.
