Overview:
The sun has gone completely blank.  There are currently no visible sunspots – a sure sign of an approaching solar minimum - and this is the first spotless day on the sun since 2014.  In fact, there has been only one spotless day on the sun since 2011 – until today that is.  The current solar cycle is the 24th since 1755 when extensive recording of solar sunspot activity began. Solar cycle number 24 is the weakest solar cycle in more than a century with the fewest sunspots since cycle 14 peaked in February 1906.

My GF, who, of course, is just  a girl, keeps telling me that I am "pink". I don't really understand what that means, but I assume that it is complimentary.

Regardless, perhaps the sun has moved into a "pink" phase. This is probably a good thing.

Did I ever tell you about my old friend Norm Appleton? He had his image swiped by a fella by the name of Stang a few decades ago. Stang used it for years to promote some weirdo Hippy UFO dope cult. That explains him making the point of "a real girl". Before this Al's girlfriends were mostly inflatable or stuffed. This one is probably an alien-penguin-human clone sent to keep an eye on him.

BTW, did you know Chuck Norris has a partially penguin-alien genome. The alien genes make him calm and analytical while the penguin genes make him a deadly fighting machine.

Foil hats are off topic? But it's summer, and I need to know what the current foil stylings are. Can't let another faux pax happen again, like that time I stole some of the gold leaf foil that covers the Colorado state capitol dome here in town and fashioned a baseball cap, only to find that it was fedora season. My mustache also wasn't as curly as some of the others. You bet I went home alone that night.

Anyway, I think the sun looks better without spots. It's emerging from adolescence at last.

Hey! I had a prom date. I just wish I hadn't. She threw up all over my car. It smelled like cheap tequila for weeks after that. Any of my male friends would have had the decency to roll down the window to hurl out of the car.

Mother's didn't teach their daughters proper underage drinking etiquette in those days as they do now. Plus, all new cars now have electronic windows to make such events a thing of the past. Projectile vomiting girlfriends are factored in to the design process these days.
