6940 USB, 2230z -- Listening via New England web tuner, no outdoor antenna rigged up at home. Booming signal, WHYP IDs, Jay Smilkstein memorial show and some appropriate music for ol' Jay. Warren Zevon "Excitable Boy", Queen "Sheer Heart Attack", others.

2245z: Via barefoot Sony 2010 (Jay's preferred radio) at home, WHYP ID and Oingo Boing "Dead Man's Party". Not strong here in Texas yet but it's early.

2250z: Interview with Jay from 2012 Fest.

ive never seen such wide audio response for SSB operation before, nearly 6Khz (5.7Khz)
unfortunately, the Kiwi SDR in concord, NH that im listening on doesnt quite reach that far only going at far as 4.8Khz, still sounds great though on the sound system.
to get the full audio response, users should set their filter widths from zero (to hear the low end audio) to whatever the highest response that is seen on the spectrum.
on remote SDR's  like the Kiwi's, thats typically a few Hz below center (-10Hz) to the highest available (4.8Khz), that will give you the full response audio (up to 4.8Khz).

Finally got a chance to catch the ID as WHYP at 2224 UTC.  Signal here in Indiana was S9.  Listened to a long interview with Jay.

WHYP, 6940 USB, 2201, 3.12.17.  Superfreak, other rock tunes ... I went to dinner, and listened from time to time ... returned to hear Yea Yea's, George Zeller's "worst station" comments, and off.

S9+10 every time I looked.

I'll have to listen to the whole recording when I get the chance.
