Spain has been in with one decode for quite a while and if more than one decode, then its been some impossible time. However, here are two nearly together in a good time. I call this valid. Local Wisconsin Point is also on the freq with the same baud rate. And Spain does have a 001 for an ID... Spain valid or just a frustrating bad luck of bad decodes?

Horta Azores is my beacon for European propagation. There's no other DGPS stations (that I am aware of) that I ever get on 308.0 except for it. I generally (always) get Azores before anything else from Europe. Then Cabo Carvoeiro Lt Portugal on 311.5 is the next most likely station (previously it was Madeira which seems to be SK). If I get those two, then I take other European decodes (possibly) seriously. Without them, I don't really even look.

Without any other European stations, especially nothing from Horta Azores, I'd say the roulette wheel landed on 001 twice.  I recall a few times seeing a pair of obviously bogus decodes, like Asia at local noon or something like that.   It happens. Especially when ADGPS produces 40 billion possible decodes per night's worth of I/Q recordings  ;D

I rarely get Europe here, either on DGPS, or even LW or MW broadcast.

You're probably right on just the luck of the draw on it. If it was on the air by itself or a weaker domestic station, then perhaps it could be more likely. But since Wisconsin Point is pumping out the messages... unlikely Spain overpowered it.
