Because CAP is part of the USAF, CAP is prohibited from using civilian radio services such as [[FRS]], [[GMRS]], [[MURS]] and regular old [[11_meter|11 meter]] band [[CB#US_.22FCC.22_.22CEPT.22_or_.22mid_band.22_CB_Frequencies|CB Radio]]. 14 channels, with the FRS-standard 38 [[FRS#FRS_CTCSS_and_DCS_Subchannel_Code_Tone_.22Privacy_Code.22_Listing|CTCSS tones]] to reduce interference from weak/distant signals.
