Thailand only VHF CB license free two way radio service.
Also known as "245 VHF" "245 CB" "CB 245" or other similar names. 245 MHz VHF band, FM voice. Favorable propagation characteristics, comparable to the 1.25 meter ham radio band at 220 MHz / 222 MHz - 225 MHz. Radios must have red cases per Thai law.
80 channels, straight channel numbering sequence. 245-245.9875 MHz, 245.0000 MHz to 245.9875 MHz. CTCSS, DCS and other selective calling or squelch systems are legal and heavily used. Narrow band FM mode, 12.5 kHz channel steps. 10 watt RF output power limit, no limit on antenna gain. High gain mobile antennas are very popular, similar to the 477 MHz UHF CB services in Australia, New Zealand, etc.
Heavily used by taxi companies, ride share drivers, delivery services, hobbyists, security companies, bars, restaurants, general business users, trucking companies, etc. Mobile radios and handheld radios are very popular. Estimates of users above one million, especially in larger urban areas. According to reports, 27 MHz HF CB and 78 MHz VHF CB are niche services and 245 MHz VHF CB is by far the most commonly used personal radio service in Thailand and neighboring areas.
Thailand apparently has 26-27 MHz CB - popular with fishing fleets, freebanders, ham operators and DXers, a mid-band VHF 78 MHz band service from 78.0000 MHz to 78.9875 MHz (12.5 kHz steps, 10 watt power limit and radios must be yellow) as well.
