Radio Garbanzo was a shortwave pirate radio station active intermittently between 1987-2000. Programs were noted for elaborate skits featuring multiple characters, and some broadcasts claimed to be via mobile transmitters. QSLs signed by program director Fearless Fred bore the catchphrase "Nuts Hell... We're Beans!"
In 2010 Radio Garbanzo was among the first stations inducted into the North American Pirate Radio Hall of Fame. Relays of classic Radio Garbanzo shows were featured by Hall of Fame Radio in late 2010, alongside relays of classic shows from other inductees.
