POCSAG paging standard. Used worldwide. Found in the 26-28 MHz or 11 meter band CB radio 27MHz frequency range and the 29.7 MHz - 50 MHz VHF low band in numerous countries, as well as the higher VHF/UHF bands. See the HF paging systems page.

POCSAG Frequencies

United States specific list. Note that the 900 MHz paging frequencies often use FLEX mode instead of POCSAG.

  • 26.9950 MHz - unlicensed, part of RCRS (shared with other data and telemetry services, part of CB radio band)
  • 27.0450 MHz - unlicensed, part of RCRS (shared with other data services, part of CB radio band)

The VHF low band, some of the VHF high band and the UHF 454/459 MHz frequencies are being reallocated to land mobile use in the United States. This is especially widespread on the UHF band.
