KROK receptions were reported on January 11th, 1986 on 7436 khz and on March 1st, 1987 on 1622 khz AM with rock music. A KROK QSL appeared in the July 1987 issue of Popular Communications magazine. KROK used the Hilo, HI. maildrop.
