Thailand only...known as "245 VHF" "245 CB" "CB 245" or other similar names. Extremely popular in Thailand, especially in urban areas. Popular with taxi and car services in Bangkok.

Radios must have red cases per Thai law. Heavily used by taxi companies, delivery services, hobbyists, security companies, etc. Thailand apparently has 26-27 MHz CB, a mid-band VHF 78 MHz band service (radios must be yellow) as well. Estimates of users above one million, especially in larger urban areas. Use of CTCSS, DCS and other squelch and selective calling systems is widespread due to heavy channel congestion and interference/QRM.

Reports indicate that significant amounts of simplex and duplex repeater systems exist on these frequencies, in addition to fixed base stations with high gain base station antennas. The majority of users appear to use portable handheld radios and mobile radios mounted in vehicles for simplex purposes.

80 channels 245.0000 to 245.9875 MHz 12.5 kHz steps. FM mode only. Many radios can easily be modified to cover 240-270 MHz or similar frequency ranges. Most radios include frequency and channel display.
