La Voz del CID was a political clandestine/pirate shortwave radio station which broadcast from Florida during the 1980s in Spanish with anti-Castro programming. CID stood for Cuba Independiente y Democratica. The station first appeared in 1981, was shut down by the FCC within a year, but reappeared in 1983 and continued to broadcast well into the 1990s, possibly by then transmitting from locations in Central America. The program later bought airtime on legal station WRMI.
