[1] Perseus is based on a direct sampling digital architecture, designed around a 14 bit 80 MS/s analog-to-digital converter and a digital FPGA-based down-converter. It is connected to a personal computer using a USB 2.0 interface at a datarate of 480 Mbit/s. Other features include an analog front-end with a 0-30 dB attenuator, a bank of bandpass preselection filters bank and a high dynamic range preamplifier. [2]
