Radio Pushka is a shortwave pirate from the Phoenix, Arizona, USA. It originally bought air time on Radio Channel 292 in 2016. It first started using its own shortwave transmitter in the USA in 2020. It has been broadcasting 24 hours a day on 6920 kHz AM since July 7 2022. Broadcasts feature Russian music (often Techno) and frequent station identifications. Occasionally SSTV images are sent. The station uses a Stretchyman transmitter with 15 watts. The station operator has an amplifier but it is not currently in operation. At times it has experimented with operating 24/7 on the 11 meter broadcast band. In addition to shortwave, it also operates on FM, but the current status of the FM station is unknown. Power has ranged in the past from 15 watts to 200 watts. Radio Pushka has many websites. Email address is 87.7fmradiopushka@gmail.com. The operator of Radio Pushka is a member of the HFU. The station's low power and location far away from most pirate listeners means that it is often only heard by one HFU member or sometimes none at all.
