Announcements are simple and are made by an unidentified male voice with reverb, and sometimes with a female computer voice. The type of electronic music featured on WMPR is primarily trance, with some jungle and house influence. It sometimes transmits SSTV images after broadcasts. It has been broadcasting since at least 1995.
