Yupiteru MVT-9000
The Yupiteru MVT-9000 is a "DC-to-daylight" handheld scanner, manufactured in the early part of the 21st centry. It provides full coverage from 530KHz to 2039MHz. Modes include narrow-FM, wide-FM, AM, narrow-AM, LSB, USB, and CW. Among numerous other features, it has 1000 memory channels, a bandscope, and a large LCD display. It is powered by either four AA batteries, or by an external 12v DC supply. Although it is not in the same league as a dedicated shortwave receiver, it is usable for shortwave reception, and it does very well at VHF frequencies and above.
