Boat Anchor Radio

From HFUnderground

Boat Anchor Radio is a pirate radio station that was first logged on HFUnderground in February 2024. The broadcaster plays an eclectic mix of music, from country to hip hop to Russian folk rock and others, but he tends not to mix genres within a broadcast. Many of the songs he plays are obscure and hard to identify using Shazam and similar apps.

The broadcaster IDs sparingly throughout his programs, and concludes his programs with shout-outs to HFUnderground loggers. He offers eQSLs and gives an email address of [email protected] for that purpose.

He occasionally employs waterfall images on his broadcasts featuring an anchor on each side of the main signal waterfall line, with the words "boat" "anchor" and "radio" (not necessarily in that order) between the anchors on the right and inverted (backwards) on the left.
