Short Range Device. General term (mostly used outside of the United States) for low power devices (LPD), unlicensed digital systems such as cordless phones, the various WiFi allocations, short range low power data radio systems, remote control, wireless control, radio control, etc. Often compared to the various Part 15 services and sometimes confused with Part 18 ISM services.
