Great Halloween Bust

Also known as The Great Halloween Pirate Massacre of 1998 was a bust of several pirates. On October 30 and 31, 1998, FCC agents tracked down and visited the operators of four pirate radio stations. The stations were handed violation notices, told to stop operations immediately and warned that fines or equipment seizures would be forthcoming, if broadcasts continued. All four stations were broadcasting on 6955 kHz.

Those busted were:

• Richard F. Jurrens, KC5RGK Rock It Radio Katy, TX
• Roger R. Hanna, Glendale Heights, IL
• Henry L. Landsberg, WB6MEU, Sierra Madre, CA
